About us – Nzsitereviews

Reviewing betting sites in New Zealand is an unusual job, because the market has a single lawful provider. Nzsitereviews reads the market with that fact in mind. It takes no bets, sells no tips and makes no promise of returns, as no bet is guaranteed to win.

What a review means here

A review on this site describes and does not rank. Scores that suggest a licence are avoided, since a place in a list tells nothing about whether an operator may lawfully serve people in New Zealand.

New Zealand keeps no register of licensed bookmakers, because it has only one lawful provider. From 28 June 2025, TAB NZ alone may offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand, through TAB and Betcha. The Department of Internal Affairs, the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025 are the sources. According to the Department, an overseas company offering these bets is breaking the law, and an overseas bookmaker holds no New Zealand licence. The law targets the operator rather than the punter.

Sources and figures

Statements about a provider come from its terms, help pages and footers. Legal statements come from statutes and public bodies. Odds and offers shift quickly, so a figure is accompanied by when and where it applied. Where a source is silent, words are used and no number is made up.

Audience and limits

Readers are expected to be adults in New Zealand; betting with TAB NZ is open from 18 only. The site gives no legal or tax advice. When betting starts to take more space than intended, the Gambling Helpline and Safer Gambling Aotearoa are the places to turn.
